ShopBill is free to use for 15 days from the day you register. After that a licence key is needed to carry on.
Licence
A licence key works on one computer. If you buy a new computer we can move it. A stopped or ended licence stops the app at its next online check; your data is not deleted.
Your data
You own your shop data. It is kept on your own device. Back it up from Settings, Backup and restore, on your computer, a pen drive or your Google Drive. Keep your backup password safe: nobody, including us, can open a backup without it, and a lost password cannot be recovered.
Your duties
Keep your own records and check your bills, totals and taxes. You are responsible for the bills you give your customers and for following the tax and other laws that apply to your shop.
Prices and renewals
A shop new to ShopBill pays ₹4,500 for its first year. Every other licence is ₹2,800 for six months or ₹5,000 for one year. The price is shown on the payment screen before you pay, and GST is added if it applies. Nothing is charged automatically: you pay by UPI each time, and a licence simply ends on its end date unless you renew. We remind you before it ends, and the app keeps working for 7 more days after.
Cancelling and refunds
You can stop using ShopBill any time; there is nothing to cancel because nothing renews by itself. If you want your money back, ask us within 7 days of paying and we will return it by UPI and stop the licence. After that, a paid period is not refunded. If a licence does not work, tell us and we will help you.
Ownership of ShopBill
The ShopBill app, its name, logo and website belong to us. A licence lets you use the app for your shop; it does not transfer the app to you, and you may not copy it, resell it or take it apart. Your shop data stays yours.
Open-source software
ShopBill is built with open-source software. Its licences are listed inside the app, in Settings, About, Open-source licences.
No promises
We work hard to keep ShopBill correct, but it is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always run without a fault or be available at all times. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss of business or data beyond the amount you paid for the licence.
Changes
We may change these terms or the app. We will put the new terms on this page with a new date.
